The Beginning
Tired of the "fat kid" identity, I embarked on my fitness journey with only generic advice: "eat less, move more." Despite the lack of structured knowledge, I committed to countless, untracked hours of cardio. My mindset, however, was unyielding; I was locked into seeing change, regardless of the perceived difficulty. This was the raw desire to begin.

COVID Blessing
The unexpected arrival of COVID-19 proved to be a blessing in disguise. It provided the solitude and space away from external noise, allowing me to fully immerse myself and push my limits. With minimal gym knowledge, I stumbled upon HIIT workout videos and executed them rigorously from the confines of my home. The initial progress was undeniable.

First Gym Discovery
This year marked my introduction to the gym. I began to notice a tangible difference—a nascent definition in my chest and arms. Yet, a critical variable remained overlooked: DIET. My training intensified, but my nutritional approach was still largely intuitive, hindering further progress.

The Ego Trap
My "bro-science" approach took hold. I assumed sufficient lifting alone would suffice, allowing complacency at the dining table. My ego overshadowed the need for proper research or expert consultation, leading to a plateau and a regain of weight. This phase was a stark lesson in the 80/20 rule.

The Turning Point
I reached a breaking point, utterly fed up with my appearance and the complacency that had crept in. This was the moment I reclaimed initiative, recognizing that true change demanded a strategic shift.

The revelation hit: diet was the key missing variable. The equation became clear: consistent, strategic diet + disciplined training = results, all underpinned by adequate rest and recovery. This understanding was the turning point.

With a solid diet five days a week and planned "cheat meals" on weekends, I maintained a decent physique. However, true definition in my mid-section remained elusive. I realized my approach lacked meticulousness in macronutrient selection and tracking. This fueled a deeper curiosity for optimization.
